Welcome to Mutual Aid In Sussex (MAIS)

We are a network, based in Brighton & Hove, which facilitates mutual aid between co-operatives, other types of social enterprise, small ethical business, community groups, and other like-minded people, by providing a free platform where mutual aid and support can be more easily achieved through face-to-face meet-ups and online conversations.

We began in May 2015 and have built up a network of co-operators from across Sussex. If you want to be added to our email discussion list, please get in touch.

From 2017-2019, MAIS worked with Brighton & Hove Community-Land Trust (BHCLT) and Co-operative Housing In Brighton & Hove (CHIBAH) on a Community-Led Housing Programme, supported by Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC).

During 2018 MAIS was supported by Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC).
